February 10, 2010 Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) screens Forbidden Zone!
New York's Museum of Modern Art has selected "Forbidden Zone" to be screened as part of their Tim Burton retrospective. This screening of the new color version will be on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 7:30pm and will be attended by Richard Elfman for a Q & A session. MoMA says "The film, which documents the work of Los Angeles–based musical performance artists The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo and features Danny Elfman’s first film score, serves as a reminder of the influence that West Coast pop culture of the era had on Burton’s creative imagination." June 20, 2008 "Forbidden Zone" on the Big Screen in Hollywood
Mark your calendars! Wednesday, July 30 at 8:00pm. The world famous Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood will be screening "Forbidden Zone" in Color on their giant screen. June 10, 2008 Richard Elfman at Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego, CA
Richard Elfman will be at Comic-Con 2008 to launch Legend Films' new color version of "Forbidden Zone" in San Diego, California. He will be signing DVDs and other items at the Sails Pavilion, Saturday July 26, 2008 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. January 27, 2008 "Forbidden Zone" In Spain and Portugal
Spanish DVD label AMAZING ! (Notro Films) will be releasing a deluxe DVD of "Forbidden Zone" in Spain and Portugal on June 6, 2008. The PAL DVD edition will be released with Spanish Subtitles, including all of the bonus material. The disc will also contain a Spanish dubbed soundtrack. Website: www.notrofilms.com
January 27, 2008 "Forbidden Zone" In France
French DVD label LE CHAT QUI FUME will be releasing a deluxe DVD of "Forbidden Zone" in France on February 17, 2008. The PAL DVD edition will be released with French Subtitles, including all of the bonus material. A special interview with Marie-Pascale Elfman was conducted in French for this release. March 24, 2005. “Forbidden Zone” Japanese Website Launched
The new Japanese website is up and running to provide fans with info about the theatrical showing of "Forbidden Zone" at the popular BAUS THEATER in Tokyo. February 1, 2005. “Forbidden Zone” to be released in Japan
You heard right. Japanese distributor Bio-Tide and Associates of Tokyo, Japan will be releasing “Forbidden Zone” in special theater showings early this year. The film will be screened in its original 35mm English version with Japanese subtitles. The distributors are big fans of the film and Danny Elfman’s music, and feel that “Forbidden Zone” will appeal to a new generation of Japanese teenagers who follow American pop culture. More later…
